Go Float the Buffalo Print

This 8x10 three color risograph print is a love letter to the Buffalo National River and the time spent on its waters. Inspired by years of camping, hiking, fishing, and floating the river, this piece is rooted in the landscapes of the Ozarks and the memories made there.

The bottom blue layer features a topographic map of the upper Buffalo River, grounding the print in a very real place. Over that sits a red layer with an elk, representing one of Arkansas’s only native elk herds, alongside two smallmouth bass. The final green layer brings people into the scene, a canoe drifting along beneath the words “go float the buffalo.”

Printed by hand on the risograph, each layer slightly shifts, creating texture, depth, and small imperfections that make every print unique. No two are exactly the same.
